Felice Bisleri had his Italian Tonic patented in 1881 in Italy. It was advertised as a Blood and Digestive tonic. Each 30 mil. dose contains 5mg of Iron (from ammonium iron citrate). The product was also mixed with mineral water for a more pleasent taste.

The Ring ham list many variants of the Ferro China bottles. All are round in shape with the exception on one. This Ringham number F 31. M is triangular in shape with a lady leg neck. The bottle is embossed FERRO CHINA MILANO TONIGO and has an embossed Lion above the lettering. This bottle is a dark green in color and is 12 ¼ in tall.

The logo of the lion would have also been on the label. The logo stands for a lion rampant with the inscription Robur (force) port the tonic.

This advertising tray was from Serafino Piana. He was located in New York City and was the agent for Ferro China Milano Tonic. Listed in the 1904 Commissioner of U. S. Patents is Serefino Piana with a U. S. Patent on Feb. 24 1904 for this product.
